About Ariana Friedlander, MPA
Real leadership isn’t about power or titles. It’s about guiding others to co-create positive change collectively. That’s the work I’ve done for decades. For over 20 years, I’ve helped mission-driven leaders navigate the hardest parts of their work - and themselves - with compassion and clarity.
Much to my surprise, in 2017 I found myself navigating complex trauma that turned my life - personally and professionally - upside down.
Normal, everyday tasks felt like insurmountable obstacles. And when I tried to push through, I felt like I was being stabbed in the heart. The pain, the discomfort, the overwhelm were all too much. I not only felt hopelessly stuck, I was worried it would never end and I wouldn’t be able to support my family.
Then I realized, I couldn’t control what happens outside but I could chose how I respond. I learned how to notice, name and navigate my inner-experiences so I wasn’t controlled by my trauma. I was able to do that because I found communities, both personally and professionally, that supported my healing and growth.
Today, I bring neuroscience research, trauma-informed practices, and a whole-person approach to everything I do, as a writer, coach, trainer, facilitator, parent and human. Everything I shared is based on both, research and my own personal experience. Because you deserve more than just another book to read or podcast to listen to — you deserve to be seen, validated and given a safe space to become the leader you want to be.
